To Stay Is To Fight
(April 2025) This piece was composed as a final project for both Composing with Digital Tech and Music Production & Recording 1. I composed, arranged, and performed traditional and nontraditional string parts on the cello and combined these with synthesized instruments to create the piece. This piece was specifically written to score a scene from an animation project I'm working on separately. As a result, different points within the piece depict different events occurring in the scene, the piece being meant to create the emotional atmosphere within which the scene would exist. I made use of numerous layering and basic processing techniques throughout the production of this piece, the majority of which I did using Pro Tools.
Candyfloss
(Feb-Present 2025) This collection of hip-hop/r&b songs make up the early stages of an EP I'm working on with rapper Chuck the CEO. I'm producing every track for the EP using Ableton and in most cases I'm also making each beat. Additionally, some tracks feature my vocals outside of the beat. These beats make use of samples, my own live instrumental and vocal performance, and synthesis and this project as a whole has served to introduce me to an entirely new world of music, both as a producer and a musician.
No Man's Home Soundtrack
(Feb 2025-In Progress) These pieces were composed for an independent game that’s currently in progress. I composed, arranged, and performed string parts on the cello and combined these with synthesized instruments to create a musical atmosphere for the game. As this was my first time really composing for another piece of media, it taught me the value of being able to take feedback and applying it so as to realize a vision that’s not entirely my own.
Ambience Through The Seasons
(Jan 2025) This piece mainly makes use of synthesized instruments I created in Vital. In addition, I found ambient recordings online that I included to create the feeling of taking a walk from one season to the next. This piece gave me insight into the impact of automation as a production tool and was one of my first experiences synthesizing my own instruments.
Pots and Pans EP
(August 2024-In Progress) I composed, performed, and produced on this folk demo EP in collaboration with a childhood friend of mine. This was my first collaborative recording and production process, and I really enjoyed being able to iterate on the project in real time with another set of ears constantly giving feedback. This experience has made me greatly interested in collaborating on future projects in regards to the songwriting, recording, and production process. As a result of this EP, I’ve looked for collaborators on a number of different projects since and truly see the value in multiple viewpoints on a creative project.
